Visas & Flights

There are multiple visa options for visitors to Ghana. The visa option you will need to attend our conference is a Tourist Visa. This visa is free and issued to foreigners who intend to enter Ghana for conferences, meetings, workshops or any other related activity.

All international flights arrive at Kotoka International Airport, just 10km from the Accra city centre. Airlines servicing Kotoka International Airport include: Ethiopian Airlines, RwandAir, Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, KLM, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines. Helicopter transfers within Ghana are available through Helicopter Charters.

Accommodation Packages

We have negotiated preferred rates with the Kempinski hotel in Accra. Once registered for the conference, please send us an email to: info@aagc.africa with subject Accommodation and a member of our secretariat will be in touch with accommodation packages to suit your preference. Please note that this will be subject to availability and offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Getting Around Accra

The most popular ride-hailing app in Accra is the Uber App , mostly because it is less expensive than the standard taxi services that charge $10 – $15 for a 10 minute drive. Other ride-hailing companies operating in Ghana include Bolt and Yango. Accra is a small city and taxis/cabs are not difficult to come by either at the airport or across the city. Taxis are available 24 hours a day at Kotoka International Airport.  The official rates from the airport is $15.
